What is an MSDS?
An MSDS stands for Material Safety Data Sheet. Sometimes known as an SDS (Safety Data Sheet), it is a document that provides all the important information you need to know about the chemicals you are using.
What is included in an MSDS?
The material safety data sheet covers everything the user would need to know about the material in order to use it safely. It contains information such as:
- A breakdown of the product and all of the chemicals it contains
- What the product does and should be used for
- What to do if there is a spillage or leakage of the product
- The safety procedure should the product get into contact with anyone’s eyes or is ingested
- How to manage any other risks associated with the product
