Parts Cleaner Fluid HPD150, 10L (2×5), 25L, 210L

Workshop parts come in filthy. Gearbox casings, drive shafts, chains, bearings, and chassis sections all carry a mix of old oil, hardened grease, and road grime that soap and water will not touch. HPD150 is a solvent degreaser and parts washer fluid built for that job. 

It works as a parts cleaner fluid in manual cleaning tanks, immersion systems, and automated industrial parts washers, so you do not need to change your setup to use it. The solvency action soaks into the build-up and lifts it away rather than smearing it around, which matters when you are cleaning something before painting or reassembly.

Chemi-Kal manufactures HPD150 in the UK rather than buying it in and relabelling it. If you get through enough of it to want the formula adjusted, the same team offers bespoke manufacturing and custom formulation.

What you can clean with it

HPD150 suits steel, aluminium, and most other metals. It can also be used on selected plastics and rubber components, though it is sensible to spot test an unfamiliar plastic first.

Safety and storage

This is a flammable product, so read the data sheet before it arrives on site.

• Classification: Flam. Liq. 3, H226 (flammable liquid and vapour)
• Flash point: 23 to 55 degrees C
• Appearance: colourless, non-viscous liquid with a characteristic odour
• Transport: UN1993, class 3, packing group III
• PPE: protective gloves, safety glasses and protective clothing. With adequate ventilation, respiratory protection is not normally required. 
• Storage: cool, well-ventilated, container closed, away from any ignition source

Keep it away from strong oxidising agents and use non-sparking tools around open tanks. On the environmental side, the data sheet records the product as biodegradable, with no bioaccumulation potential and negligible ecotoxicity. It still must not go down a drain.
